Our story.
VikiData did not begin as an attempt to create another data-management product.
The idea came from a recurring enterprise problem observed by one of Nextech Enterprise USA’s Technical Sales Strategists while working with data and AI organizations.
Companies were being asked to solve connected data problems with disconnected technologies. Master Data Management might come from one vendor. Data Governance from another. The Data Catalog from another. Data Quality, Lineage and Observability could require additional platforms.
Each product addressed an important requirement. But the organization was still responsible for making all of those systems behave like one trusted data foundation.
That raised a simple question:
Why should an enterprise need multiple disconnected platforms to establish one trusted view of its data?
That question became the idea behind VikiData.
The vision was to create one connected enterprise platform where organizations could discover their data, govern it, master critical entities, understand lineage, monitor trust, ask questions across distributed systems and control how AI and agents use enterprise context.
As AI moved from generating answers to influencing business decisions and taking actions, that vision became even more relevant.
